1. Select the specification based on the pipette range

Different pipette ranges must correspond to matching pipette tips. They cannot be mixed; otherwise, there will be liquid leakage and inaccurate pipetting. Common specifications: 10μL, 20μL, 50μL, 100μL, 200μL, 300μL, 1000μL, 5mL, 10mL, etc. The volume of the liquid to be pipetted should fall within the optimal range of the pipette tip to avoid excessive error caused by using a larger tip for a smaller volume.

Select materials and cleanliness according to experimental requirements

For routine experiments, use polypropylene (PP) pipettes with good chemical stability and high temperature and pressure resistance; for molecular biology, PCR, and nucleic acid testing, choose sterile and enzyme-free pipettes, clearly marked as free of DNase, RNase, and endotoxins; for trace analysis and heavy metal detection, select low adsorption pipettes to reduce sample sticking loss; for organic reagent or strong acid and strong base experiments, choose special pipettes resistant to chemical corrosion.
