Step 1: Material

At present, the suction heads on the market are basically made of polypropylene plastics (colorless transparent plastics with high chemical inertness and a wide temperature range). High quality suction heads are generally made of natural polypropylene, while cheap suction heads are likely to be made of recycled polypropylene plastic.

2. Additives

In addition, most suction heads also add a small amount of additives during the manufacturing process.

Common are: a. Color material, used for blue and yellow gun head; b. Additives to help the suction head quickly detach from the mold after forming; c. Additives for the treatment of low adsorption gun head surfaces.

The more additives, the higher the probability of unwanted chemical reactions in the pipetting process, but no additives have higher requirements for the production process, and fewer manufacturers can achieve it.
