3. Precautions for suction head sterilization during RNA extraction

Use a regular EP tube and pipette tip. They were immersed in DEPC water overnight to remove RNase prior to autoclaving. After removing the DEPC the next day, they were placed in a pipette suction head box for damp heat sterilization. 121 degrees, 15-20 minutes. To avoid steam, wrap the newspaper around the suction box or dry it in an incubator after disinfection.
