How to use the instrument liquid pipette?

The pipette tip, as a consumable part of the pipette, is an indispensable component in the process of quantitative liquid transfer in the laboratory. Proper and standardized use can ensure the stability of the pipetting operation, reduce operational errors, and prevent contamination between samples. Before use, it is necessary to ensure that the specifications of the pipette tip and the pipette are compatible. For tools of different capacity specifications, corresponding size pipette tips are required. If the specifications do not match, problems such as poor sealing, detachment, and air entry may occur. Based on the actual experimental conditions, select the corresponding type of pipette tip. For routine physical and chemical tests, the regular model can be used. For experiments with cleanliness requirements, the sterile model should be selected. In scenarios involving volatile reagents or the need for protective equipment, a pipette tip with a filter element should be used. During the taking process, only the external part of the pipette tip should be touched, avoiding the tube opening and the tip area. Maintain the cleanliness of the consumable itself. When assembling the pipette tip, keep the pipette vertical, align the center position of the pipette tip, slowly press down, rely on a slight rotation to fit in place, and make the connection completely sealed. The assembly force should be kept gentle and natural. Excessive force or knocking may cause wear on the instrument head, which will affect the sealing effect in the long run and thereby affect the accuracy of each liquid extraction. |
