The function of the pipette tip with a filter element

This design mainly achieves protection through three levels to ensure the accuracy of the experimental results and the service life of the instrument.

1.Prevent cross-contamination of samples

The filter element can physically block aerosols and liquids. When different samples are drawn, the aerosol or residual liquid of the previous sample will not enter the pipette through the tip and be carried into the next sample, thus avoiding cross-contamination between different samples and ensuring the reliability of the experimental data.

2. Protect the internal components of the pipette

It can prevent samples, volatile reagents or corrosive liquids from entering the interior of the pipette's gun body. If these substances enter, they may corrode the internal precision components such as pistons and sealing rings, leading to a decrease in the accuracy of the pipette, leakage or even damage, and increasing the maintenance cost of the instrument.

3. Avoid exposing operators to risks

For biologically hazardous samples (such as bacteria and viruses) or toxic and harmful chemical reagents, the filter element can form a barrier. It can prevent these hazardous substances from being back-sucked into the pipette through the tip, thereby reducing the risk of operators coming into contact with harmful substances during subsequent maintenance or use.
